Prague – the magical city of a hundred spires!

Prague, often called the golden city or the city of a hundred spires, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is also one of the most visited places in Europe and regularly ranks among the safest getaways.

This magical city lures visitors due mainly to its unique historical centre that has survived many centuries. At first glance, your eye will catch hundreds of historical monuments dominated by the majestic Prague Castle – the largest castle complex in the world. High above the Vltava River, the castle is surrounded by beautiful gardens, while the river is crossed by many bridges, including the most famous Charles Bridge, which connects the Lesser Town with the charming winding streets of the Old Town which surround the Old Town Square, the home to the famous astronomical clock. Prague is rightfully included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list.

However, Prague is not only about historical monuments. The city attracts millions of visitors every year who arrive for cultural events, modern gastronomy, and sports events. The place is also strongly associated with world literary and musical giants, for example, Franz Kafka, Antonín Dvořák, and Milan Kundera.
